INCREASE

The goal of the INCREASE project is to develop building-integrated solar panels for different types of structures, test these solutions in various countries, and contribute to the wider adoption of integrated solar panels. The project includes a total of nine pilots in six European countries, one of which is located in Tartu. In the Tartu pilot, Tartu Hansa School will construct a greenhouse with integrated solar panels over the course of three years through a co-creation process which will ensure an aesthetically pleasing and high-quality design that is suitable for everyone.

The greenhouse will serve as a multifunctional learning space where, among other things, students can learn how solar panels work. To support the broader adoption of integrated solar panels, our research and development efforts strongly focus on user feedback and co-creation, involving also all target groups who are both directly and indirectly connected to the pilots. Workshops, seminars, and hackathons will be organized.

The project will run until spring 2028 and is funded under the European Union’s “Horizon Europe” innovation actions program.
