Kai has been working at the Institute of Baltic Studies since 2023, focusing on international projects related to the green transition, smart cities, and science communication.
Previously, she worked at the Center of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge, where her task was combining agriculture, science, and the public sector to help bring scientific research closer to people.
Kai has an academic background in economics, holding a bachelor’s degree in rural entrepreneurship and financial management from the Estonian University of Life Sciences and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Tartu.
She is currently on leave, enjoying family life and raising her children. In her free time, she loves reading, engaging in various craft and art projects, and experimenting in the kitchen.
