Maria has been working at the Institute of Baltic Studies since 2021. She is mainly engaged in the migration and integration of newly arrived migrants and is particularly interested in language and labour market integration. Besides that, Maria enjoys projects focused on education and likes blog-post writing and organising events.
Maria is originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she finished her BA in International Economic Relations. She came to Estonia in 2019 and obtained MA in International Relations and Regional Studies (specializing in EU) at the University of Tartu Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies.
