Tõnis has studied mathematics, computer science, and teaching. He primarily works in the field of IT and has held or holds positions at Descartes Lyceum, the Archimedes Foundation, and the Estonian Research Council, both as a specialist and in leadership roles.
He has followed the Institute of Baltic Studies with great interest since its inception, as its founders were his good friends and role models. His first unforgettable professional encounter with IBS was in 2014 when his future colleagues impressed him with their efficiency and work ethic. Tõnis’s connection to IBS is built on friendship, admiration, gratitude, and his involvement as a consultant in IBS’s international projects.
Tõnis has many hobbies, including swing dancing, sports, reading, programming, and much more.
